@ulalaunch The launch of a ULA Atlas V 501 rocket carrying Amazon’s Project Kuiper Protoflight mission is planned for Fri Oct 6 from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The launch window opens at 2 pm EDT.
United Launch Alliance will deliver Project Kuiper Protoflight satellites into a 311-mile (500-km) Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to allow Amazon to test its technology in space before beginning full-scale production launches next year.
Atlas V will be making its 99th launch when performing the Project Kuiper Protoflight, a mission that begins a new commercial era for ULA to support Amazon. Our partnership includes 9 Atlas V and 38 Vulcan Rocket launches to launch a majority of the broadband constellation
