Upcoming Firefly Rocket Launches to Space, Livestreams & Events

@Firefly_Space FLTA006 update: the Alpha team is still working with the range to determine our next launch window for Message in a Booster. We've been up against unfavorable wind conditions that exceed safety limits for some critical assets within Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB). More to come soon. In the meantime, our Alpha rocket and Lockheed Martin’s LM 400 tech demo satellite remain ready for liftoff!

@Firefly_Space Our first Elytra mission is set to launch aboard Alpha in 2024! As the first of many missions utilizing multiple Firefly vehicles, this demonstration will lay the groundwork for Firefly’s end-to-end mission solutions with rapid launch, deployment, and on-orbit services
This is also our second responsive space mission, deploying on-orbit payloads at a time and place of our customers’ choosing in support of Xtenti follow-on study contract with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), this mission will demonstrate a rapid payload reconfiguration prior to launching on Alpha and utilizing Elytra to deploy multiple satellites at a time and place of the NRO's choosing

@Firefly_Space The Firefly crew completed our 1st Miranda hot fire! 7 of these 230,000 lbf engines will power the 1st stage of Northrop Grumman Space Systems's Antares 330 & the Medium Launch Vehicle we're developing together. More to come as we work towards a full-duration hot fire

@Firefly_Space Another big lunar win! Firefly was awarded its third NASA CLPS contract to provide radio frequency calibration services from lunar orbit. As part of Blue Ghost Mission 2, these services will allow NASA’s LuSEE-Night radio telescope to further unlock the origins of the universe

@Firefly_Space This team is unstoppable! Firefly was awarded another NASA CLPS task order for a third lunar mission in 2028. This time we'll utilize our Blue Ghost lander, Elytra Dark orbital vehicle, and a rover to investigate the unexplored Gruithuisen Domes
During mission operations, Elytra will first deploy Blue Ghost into lunar orbit and then remain on orbit to provide long-haul communications. Blue Ghost will then land in the Gruithuisen Domes, deploy the rover, and operate six NASA payloads for 14 days on the lunar surface
